Last Friday night I was invited to cover the Australian launch of the new Audi A4 at the luxurious Quay West Resort at Magenta Shores. It was great, I had the use of an Audi A6 3.0lt Diesel TDI and Hubba Hubba!! I soooo loved the car. I am so wanting one. Anyway, I digress. The new A4 is packed with features normally only available at last years Sydney International Motor Show on cars worth 2-3 times more than these new cars and they are beautiful. Here are some pictures at the launch that I took. I got to meet the aerodynamicist for the car and photographed him going over the car and showing the subtle improvements, that make the car lighter and faster with less drag making it much more fuel efficient. I am in awe of these guys. To think that there are people in car companies all over the world trying to respond to a global need to cut fuel usage and minimise environmental footprints and seeing the way they do it. It was an exercise in real appreciation. Notwithstanding the fact that they want to sell cars that appeal to a growing consumer demand to reduce the carbon footprint. I really enjoyed it. I am grateful yet again, for the diversity of experience I am given.

Craig,
I lost my 'favourite' link to your blog today, so had to 'google' you to get here.
Doing so, I came across the following link quite accidentally;
http://www.ldsfilm.com/videos/HoobeeDooBee.html
I'm fascinated, could you please tell us more about it?

Craig
I know you've wanted an Audi for sooo long. I couldn't see my tribe in 1. (not all at once anyhow)
It's also great to see others participating & commenting on your entries.
V2T - I look forward to your comments as much as Craig's when I visit the Blogg which seems to be daily of late.
Craig has done quite a few things on his life's journey. Not all successful but stepping stones none the less. No one can ever accuse Craig of not giving things a go.
Tub
Hey Tub, Thanks for commenting, and visiting. I try Tub, I really try, and one day soon one of those things I am trying to give it a go will work!!!
Hehehehe
You must mean QUAY West at Magenta Shores - great property I am booking for a romantic weekend that is not far from Sydney.
Great photos. Great car...and no wonder you love what you do - with every launch/promo there will always be the scantily clad models to add to the appeal! Ah...sex must sell (almost) everything.
V2T - I certainly didn't want to give the A6 I had back, that I can assure you. My scheming mind thought of a thousand ways I could keep it, and the man I returned the car to just laughed and said, I understand I really do!
.....and as for Hoobee Doobee, I would LOVE to share about that, but a cursory foray into that won't do, as I am going away for a day or so, so I will post about that on the weekend. Yes I have a free weekend coming up...Hooray, Hooray!! well, almost!
Anonymous, You are right, and thank you, I have changed the spelling. And as for the scantily clad models, they did absolutely nothing for me at all. I was in love with the car. Compared to what I drive, it truly is a wonderful difference and THAT is one of the benefits about why I love what I do. A car launch where my pictures were being sent Germany one day, A family portrait the next, a wedding the day after, and a childs birthday party. Pictures with rock stars, and so on and so on. What a very diverse set of experiences I get to share, and for me the most amazing thing of all, is that I get paid to do this!!
If it wasn't that I have bills and need to amass some money for an Audi of my own, I would do this for nothing! But alas, I won't linger long on the free side of things. I certainly have my share of people who want and expect that of me. Not any more.
Enjoy your weekend getaway, it is gorgeous there.
Thanks Tub, you are the best! I am honoured you visit here daily. Keep coming, I have some very interesting posts coming up soon.
